Applied Clinical Kinesiology
Save Money, Save Time
scroll down to prevention to learn how
Applied Kinesiology is a non-intrusive method of detecting health imbalances in the body's organs, glands, muscles, bones, structure, nerves and chemistry. Kinesiology can also be a substantial tool in identifying very subtle food sensitivities and other allergens.
Kinesiology has different types of applications and can be used to correct musculoskeletal and gait imbalances
(the way you walk) as well.
How does this work?
The practitioner employs a simple strength resistance test or Muscle Response Test (MRT) on a specific indicator muscle while simultaneously touching organ, nerve or glandular reflex points similar to acupuncture points. If there is a health imbalance, a weakness or something wrong in any of these areas, messages through the nervous system are translated to the indicator muscle causing substantial weakness and an inability to resist.
When a weakness occurs in the indicator muscle in conjunction with the reflex point, then six different modes are tested which indicate what components are leading to the imbalance. These modes are structural/structural referral, chemical, emotional, organ referral, deep tissue and tensegrity. When testing for a chemical
component, several elements can be detected, like specific vitamin/mineral deficiency, microbes (virus, bacteria, yeast, parasites), heavy metal toxicity, food toxicity, acidity, deficient enzyme activity, inflammation and hormonal influence.
For example: Clara's Case (names have been changed to protect privacy)
Clara complained of intense pain across the top of her shoulders (where most of us
hold tension). She reported no injury to either shoulder but the pain, which she had for 2 years, became so bad that it now interfered with her tennis game. When we tested her with MRT,
we found that there were several components at the root cause of her pain.
The components were:
1) structural referral; when traced - indicated the referral was coming from a rib being slightly out of place.
2) chemical; indicating a calcium/magnesium deficiency, heavy metal toxicity,
food sensitivity, lactic acid buildup, and parasites.
3) organ referral; when traced - indicated the referral was coming from her liver
When we test her liver with MRT, we found the indication of a sluggish phase
in normal detoxification and the presence of parasites.
Through MRT we found the root cause of her pain.
Her rib was aligned,
We tested for food sensitivities and eliminated those foods from her diet temporarily, We tested for the specific heavy metal indicated, and chelated the metal from her body,
We added a specialized, easily digestable and absorbable form of calcium/magnesium complex to her diet,
We supported the liver in detoxification with herbs and specialized
pharmaceutical grade nutrients and Ionic Hydrotherapy ,
We recommended an herbal formula to rid her body of parasites.
Clara noted an improvement within a week of starting the recommended course of treatment. After just three weeks, Clara noted a marked improvement, and after a total of five weeks she claimed she was virtually pain free except for minor tension related to a particularly stressful day.
Clara had been seen by other health providers for this condition in which she was given muscle relaxants, referred to massage therapy and had some acupuncture.
These methods gave Clara some partial relief, but did not actually address the
underlying root cause. It was only through specific MRT that the root causes
were even identified.
By identifying the root cause, we then know the course of action to take in supporting the healing process and balancing the system, which in turn eliminates symptoms.
MRT and Injuries
MRT (muscle response testing) can identify a number of factors that may influence and delay
the healing process. MRT can be utilized directly at an injury site to determine which tissues are specifically involved, for example: bone, muscle, ligament, tendon, cartilage and nerve, and which components may be affecting the injury and the healing process. With correct identification, appropriate treatment can be employed and the healing of injuries can be accelerated.

For Injuries, Increasing Workout Results, Improving Your Sports Performance
MRT can identify current weakness in joints, connective tissue, structural imbalances and the incorrect use of muscles and muscle compensations.
By identifying and correcting these imbalances, an "injury waiting to happen" can usually be prevented. Not only will this help you in prevention of injuries
from workouts and playing sports, but by employing correction techniques, will
often help you improve your game and your workout results.
For Preventative Health Maintenance
Quick "check ups" are recommended at the beginning of every season because
this is the time when your body makes shifts and changes. A BIO SCAN is done
to look for any imbalances that may be occuring. If any imbalances are found
then recommendations are given to balance your system. Remember, an
ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It is much easier to adjust the type
of nutrient or dosage, than it is to have to spend time, money and effort to
"fix" a big problem.
It's a lot easier and costs a lot less to get a regular oil change, than to have
to replace the whole engine......
We Make it Easy For You! Save Money, Save Time!
Call us and schedule all four seasonal "check ups" at once. We call you to remind you of your appointment. It's that easy, yet it can save you a lot of
money and a lot of time. Isn't that worth it?
